What is LettsNews?

LettsNews is an AI-powered newsroom platform built for independent journalists, PR professionals, and small publishers. It helps you gather content items (text, images, audio, and video), build and refine stories with AI assistance, and publish and distribute instantly all in one place.

What are AI credits?

AI credits are used whenever LettsNews performs an AI-powered action, such as generating a draft, rewriting text, suggesting titles or tags, or creating AI-generated images.

Credits reset monthly and do not roll over. The number of included credits depends on your plan (Free, Pro, or Ultimate).

What uses AI credits?

Each AI action uses 1 credit. Examples include:

  • Generate a Content Note draft.
  • Rewrite or refine text.
  • Suggest titles, descriptions, or tags.
  • Auto-categorise a Content Item.
  • Generate AI images.

All AI-powered tools included in Free, Pro, and Ultimate plans use credits in the same way.

What doesn't use credits?

The following are included in every plan and do not consume credits:

  • Uploading and storing text, images, audio, or video
  • Team collaboration within your Workspace
  • Publishing Stories (within your plan’s Story limit)
  • Distributing and promoting Stories

These are all free and unlimited.

What happens if I run out of credits?

If you use all your credits before the end of your billing cycle:

  • AI features pause temporarily until credits reset.
  • You can still upload, collaborate, and publish stories (within your story limit).
  • You can top up 250 credits for £9.99 or upgrade instantly to the next plan.

How many Stories can I publish?

Publishing limits depend on your plan:

Free – 3 Stories per month.

Pro – 100 Stories per month

Ultimate – Unlimited Stories

Story limits and AI credits are separate allowances. Both apply independently within your subscription.

Do you support video and audio?

Yes. You can upload video or audio content, embed it directly in stories, and use AI tools to generate captions, summaries, or preview text.

Using our Embed function you can also include podcasts in your Stories

Video and audio processing and AI actions consume credits as normal.

Can I cancel or change plans?

Yes. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel anytime from your account settings.

  • Upgrades take effect instantly.
  • Downgrades or cancellations apply at your next billing cycle.
  • LettsNews automatically uses your plan’s included credits first. If you’ve bought extra credits, they’ll only be used once your monthly credits are finished.

Is LettsNews secure?

Yes. All content is stored securely on our cloud infrastructure with encryption and version control. You always own your content, and can export it at any time.

Yes, a mobile-first approach lets you capture notes, photos, and other media when creating content items on the go.

How do I add Content Items to create a Story?

To build a story:
1.
Go to Content Items in the menu.
2.
Add notes, images, audio, or video.
3.
Then go to Stories, create a new one, and drag in any content items from your Library.
LettsNews will help structure and polish your story using AI.

How do I auto-distribute my Stories to my blog, Medium, or Substack?

1.
Go to Profile > Distribution Channels.
2.
Connect your blog (WordPress), Medium, or add Substack.
3.
On your story page, click Distribute, choose the channels, and LettsNews will publish automatically.
4.
You can also Promote your story with social-ready posts for X, LinkedIn, and Facebook.

Can I collaborate with my team?

Yes, you can invite team members. Team collaboration is to work together on content and stories. Teams are available across all plans, with scaled capacity depending on the plan.

Go to Teams > Create Team, invite members by email, and set their permissions.

What are Teams for and how do I set them up?

Teams allow group collaboration inside LettsNews. You can:
Share and co-edit stories
Manage content and distribution
Assign roles (Admin, Editor, Viewer)
To set up: Go to Teams, create a team, and invite collaborators.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?

Yes, you can change your plan at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately, while downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle.

What happens if I run out of AI credits?

If you use all your included credits before your billing cycle ends:

AI-powered features pause until your credits reset

You can continue uploading, collaborating, and publishing Stories (within your plan’s Story limit)

You can purchase 250 additional credits for £9.99

Or upgrade from Free to Pro, or Pro to Ultimate

Can I upgrade, downgrade, or cancel my plan?

Yes. You can change your Free, Pro, or Ultimate plan at any time from your account settings.
