Content Items are inputs, not finished articles. A Story may pull from multiple Content Items — notes, quotes, images or media gathered over time.

No. Content Items are useful but not a compulsory first step. You can start by writing a story yourself, by briefing NewsAgent, or by gathering notes and media first, and move between these approaches as your story develops.

Yes. The same Content Item can support more than one story and be combined with new material. Before reusing older items, check facts, permissions and time-sensitive details.

Yes. Generate images using LettsNews AI when creating an Image Content Item. Clear descriptions of subject, context, mood, style and intended use produce the best results. Generated images can be reused.

Yes. You can add Embeds as Content Items, including YouTube videos, podcast episodes and other supported external content.

Common image, audio and video formats such as JPG, PNG, MP3, WAV, MP4 and MOV. The upload screen shows the supported formats and size limits. To bring in several files at once, use Import, which normalises formats automatically.

Yes. Images, audio and video Content Items can be reused across multiple stories. Clear titles, descriptions and tags make them easier to find again.

Yes. Sign in to the LettsNews mobile app with your existing account and capture photos, audio and video. Use Account → Server Sync to send them to the web app, and check they've arrived before relying on them.

NewsAgent is your AI newsroom assistant for developing, writing and refining stories. You brief it like a colleague, explaining the subject, audience, purpose, main points and source material, then refine the draft with follow-up instructions. NewsAgent can flag claims that need sources, but you remain responsible for checking facts and reviewing the story.

No. LettsNews supports both fully manual writing and AI-assisted workflows. You decide how and when to use AI.

Yes. In Stories, use the + control to open a new story, add a working title and description, and write in the editor. Add Content Items or media through Hints, then click Save. You can also use AI for individual elements (Generate Title, Generate Description or Generate Tags) without asking it to write the whole story. Manual writing doesn't use AI credits.

Yes. Start manually and use NewsAgent later to refine, restructure or sense-check your story.

A Writing Style is a template for a particular audience, purpose or publication. It sets tone, editorial approach, target audience, target length, image preferences and extra instructions. Your Learned Style describes your own author voice. It's generated from at least three of your existing LettsNews stories, and you can review and edit it. NewsAgent uses both together, so choose the right Writing Style in the NewsAgent panel before asking for a draft or revision. New users can write a few stories first and build their Learned Style later.

It helps, but it doesn't replace your review. Use fact-checking assistance to find claims and questions worth investigating, then verify important names, dates, figures, quotes and links against reliable original sources. A confident AI answer is not proof of accuracy.

Notes (including story ideas and quotes), photos, audio and video. Use Account → Server Sync to send them to the web app. You can also schedule and publish stories from the mobile app. AI features are available in the web app only.

Yes. LettsNews supports team collaboration — share Content Items, collaborate on drafts, and refine stories before publishing.

Teams let groups work together in LettsNews. Open Teams, create or select a team, invite collaborators and assign roles (Admin, Editor or Viewer) to suit their responsibilities. Use the sharing controls to make work available to the team, and discuss it in Comments/History. Team members can use shared Writing Styles but can't edit them. Agree who will publish the final version.

Credits are used when you ask AI to do something, for example NewsAgent drafting, rewriting, suggesting titles, descriptions or tags, generating images and generating promotional copy. Manual writing, and sharing or posting content, don't use credits. AI credits are separate from your monthly allowance of published stories.

Start (free) includes 3 published stories a month, Pro 100 a month, and Ultimate unlimited. Story allowances and AI credits are separate, so you can keep publishing within your allowance even if your credits run out.

Your plan includes a monthly AI credit allowance: 200 on Start, 500 on Pro and 1,000 on Ultimate. Check your plan in Subscription. If you need more, top up or upgrade, and you can always keep writing manually.

Start (free) includes 3 published stories and 200 AI credits a month, which suits trying LettsNews or publishing occasionally. If you publish about once a week or more, Pro (100 stories and 500 credits a month) fits that pace. Ultimate (unlimited stories and 1,000 credits) suits frequent publishing and larger teams.

AI features pause until your credits reset. You can still upload, collaborate and publish stories (within your plan's story limit). Top up 250 credits for £9.99 or upgrade instantly.

Yes. Open Subscription in the left-hand menu to review or change your plan. Upgrades take effect immediately, downgrades apply at your next billing cycle, and cancellations take effect at the end of your current period.

Yes. The Free plan gives you access to the full workspace with structured publishing tools and included AI credits — no credit card required.

Publishing marks the point at which a story is editorially final and approved for release. Once published, the content is locked and ready for distribution and promotion. Drafts remain fully editable until this point.

Yes. Save your draft, open the story's action menu and choose Schedule. Set a date, time and timezone under Schedule Publish, Schedule Distribute or Schedule Promote. Each one is separate, so scheduling publication doesn't schedule distribution. Manage everything from Scheduling in the left-hand menu.

There are four separate steps. Save keeps your draft for further work and doesn't publish or distribute it. Publish marks the story as editorially final and locks it. Distribute sends the published story to a configured destination such as WordPress, Medium or Substack. Promote creates posts that point people to the distributed story on LinkedIn, Threads or X. Each step can happen straight away or be scheduled.

Not directly. A published story can't be unpublished or edited as a draft. Open its action menu and choose Copy as Unpublished, then edit, save, publish and distribute the copy. The original stays published, and publishing the copy doesn't update or remove versions already on external platforms.

LettsNews supports distribution to WordPress, Medium and Substack (Substack via structured copy and paste).

No. You distribute the same published story to each configured destination without rewriting it. Always check the result on the destination itself (title, images, formatting, links and visibility), and keep the final URL for promotion.

Open Profile / Settings, select Manage Channels, then Add Channels, and follow the steps for that destination, including any access or verification. You can prepare stories before connecting channels. Test a destination before relying on it for a scheduled release.

Where a destination supports it, LettsNews distributes directly. Substack uses structured copy-and-paste tools: you paste and publish the content in Substack yourself. Only channels that support server-side publishing can be scheduled.

Once a story has been distributed, use the Promote feature to generate platform-specific promotional content. Select the version of the story you want to promote, and LettsNews creates suggested posts.

LinkedIn, Threads and X (Twitter).

No. LettsNews can generate suggested promotional copy with a link to your distributed story, and you can ask for alternatives or write your own. Generating copy uses AI credits, while posting it doesn't. Generated copy isn't posted until you confirm it, so check the result on the platform.
