LettsNews launches version 1.0 of its connected AI-powered newsroom

The platform brings story development, supporting content, editing, illustration, publication, distribution and promotion into one connected workflow while keeping editorial control with the user.

LettsNews has launched version 1.0 of its AI-powered newsroom, designed to help journalists, PR professionals, newsletter creators, founders and communications specialists take a story from its initial idea through to publication and audience reach within one connected environment.

Rather than concentrating solely on generating text, LettsNews supports the wider process required to turn an idea into a finished and distributed story.

Users can start with an idea, notes, source material or an existing draft; develop the story manually or with assistance from NewsAgent; bring text, images, audio and video into the same workspace; edit and illustrate the piece; publish it; distribute it to platforms including WordPress, Medium, Substack and Reddit; and prepare it for promotion across social channels.

AI assistance operates across the platform, helping users organise content, develop and refine stories, create descriptions and tags, prepare illustrations and adapt material for different destinations. Writing Styles and the new Your Learned Style capability are designed to help users maintain a recognisable voice throughout the workflow.

Editorial decisions remain with the user, including what to publish, how the story is framed and whether AI-generated suggestions are accepted.

Peter Prince, CMO of LettsNews, said:

“Much of the discussion about AI and communications still concentrates on generating a draft. But writing is only one part of producing and delivering a professional story.

“LettsNews 1.0 brings the wider workflow together. It helps people move from an idea and supporting material through editing, illustration, publication, distribution and promotion without repeatedly rebuilding their work in disconnected applications.

“AI can assist at each stage, but the voice, judgement and responsibility remain with the person publishing the work. Reaching version 1.0 means that this connected workflow is now ready to be put through its paces by people doing the job for real.”

The version 1.0 launch begins a period of active user recruitment and feedback. LettsNews is inviting journalists and communications professionals to use the platform for a genuine piece of work and share their experience of the workflow.
